Editorupon Floor Coating is a referral service. When you reach out, you are connected with an independent coating provider in our network. That provider is a separate business. It will discuss your floor, answer questions and write the quote.

What the Provider May Ask You

Expect a few simple questions:

• Is the floor in a garage, on a patio or inside the house?
• About how big is the space?
• Are there cracks, stains, old paint or a previous coating?
• Does the floor get damp or stay humid?
• What look do you want?

Photos can help. Measurements help even more.

Questions to Ask Before You Sign

Good questions protect your budget. Try these:

• How will you prep the slab? A good answer names grinding or similar steps, not just a quick clean.
• How do you check for moisture? In a humid climate, this matters.
• What is in the quote? Look for repairs, materials, coats and cleanup.
• How long until I can park on it? Get a clear answer.
• What if it peels? Ask what the provider offers in writing.
• Are you licensed and insured? Ask to see proof.

Red flags: pressure to sign today, no written quote, a price that seems far below others, or vague answers about prep.

You do not have to hire the first provider. Compare written quotes. Check what each one includes, not just the total. Price follows prep, so a lower number may mean less work.
